28-09-2008: FREE Showcase: Cybercide + Trashcanmann (+ possibly 1 more)
Cybercide take heavy metal guitars, trance type synths and melody driven 80s style vocals to create upbeat gothic-influenced EBM in the vein of Apoptygma Berzerk and Icon of Coil. While they've been around in one form or other for almost a decade, Cybercide chose a Sheepish night for their debut gig back in 2006. Since then they've released aclaimed debut album "Adrenalin" and played numerous festivals both at home and abroad, not to mention regularly burning up the dancefloor with tracks such as "Searchlight" and "Exocet".
TrashcanMann love trash, from 50's Horror to 00's Attitude, taking in 60's Garage and 70's Punk along the way. Featuring the notorious Crab's frontman Mark on vocals and Tim from the Seven Inches on bass, TrashcanMann sound like a cosmic collision between Rock n' Roll, Punk and Goth. Imagine a cross between the Cramps, early Marychain and Ed Wood.
Black Sheep & Leeds Gothic Society present Cybercide + Trashcanmann - 28th September 2008

07-11-2008: Screaming Banshee Aircrew + Legion
Screaming Banshee Aircrew are, of course, the undisputed darlings of the Yorkshire goth scene, even though nowadays they've spread their wings much further. Originally a "writhing riot of hair, makeup, leather, PVC and punk-goth cabaret" they've recently expanded their line-up which has lent their sound a rawer, punkier edge, complementing the flamboyant nature of their live shows. Having previously headlined at Woolstock, this will be their first Leeds show since appearing as special guests of the March Violets at their reunion gig last year.
Legion are a recently re-based Leeds gothic rock band, very much in the vein of the Sisters albeit with a great deal more youth and energy on their side! Expect silhouettes and smoke and the spirit of 1984 as Legion hit the stage with drum machine and 12 String guitar!
Live before Friday Flock - 7th November 2008
Doors 7:30pm, first band onstage 8pm

05-12-2008: Modulate + ESA
Modulate is the hard industrial project of Manchester based DJ Geoff Lee. Geoff is one of the resident DJs at alternative/industrial club night, The Wendy House, on the Mutate industrial/hard dance floor. Signed to Infacted, the debut Skullfuck EP went crashing straight into the German DAC alternative charts reaching number 6 and number 3 in the Greek Alternative Chart giving the band a worldwide club hit that was described as "the industrial scene's club hit of the year" in ReGen magazine. This will be Modulate's exclusive Northern appearance to celebrate the launch of debut album "Detonation".
ESA (Electronic Substance Abuse) is a name that has been on the lips of rhythmic noise addicts worldwide since its first compilation appearance on Hive Records some 4 years ago. Following this year's encompassing 2nd album 'How Pure Would Your Utopia Be?' - a monster of brutal beatworks and unrelenting rhythmic Industrial sounds - ESA will be appearing to exclusively launch their new album, 'The Sea and The Silence', 11 tracks of pure Industrial adrenaline, marked carefully by strong dark atmospheres and dense, apocalyptic beats.
Live before Friday Flock - 5th December 2008
Doors 7:30pm, first band onstage 8pm
£5 - includes free entry to Friday Flock clubnight after the band.
