Winter Flocks

Thanks to everyone who came along to the first Transmission, it was the busiest clubnight we've run for some time!  Transmission continues on Saturday November 10th.

Also many thanks to everyone who came to the "Sheepish Showcase" event, aside from Woolstock it was our busiest live event of the year!   The September's Showcase night was our last gig of the year, but we'll be returning in 2008 with more bands, not forgetting Woolstock itself at the end of May.

Finally Black Sheep is still free entry every Sunday night at the Subculture and on Sunday 9th December we're running a special night as part of the Amalgamation festival.

Cruel Summer

First off, many thanks to everyone who came along and made the second Woolstock such a wonderful weekend!  It all went very well and we're already provisionally planning a third!

Back to the present and in August we've another Heartland weekender encompassing Friday Flock and The Sisters Of Murphy's 10th Anniversary gig. Full details are can be found either in the Live section or here on Heartland.

The big news is that the September Friday Flock will be the last, as we're moving from First Fridays to Second Saturdays from October!  We'll be giving the Flock a bit of a makeover and a new name, but it'll still be the night you all know and love!  There's more information here, but expect a full announcement shortly!

Finally despite announcements to the contrary it looks like we are planning one last gig this year... but this definitely will be the last sheepish live event until at least Easter 2008. More details shortly, but keep Sunday 23rd September free because it's going to be a corker!

Beyond that it's probably best to mention that unfortunately we are not booking bands or organising gigs at present. Honestly. Both Black Sheep and Friday Flock are DJ-only nights and do not feature live music.

5th June 2007

Woolstock!

Woolstock II is only a month away!

Full details can be found on the website, but it's another weekend of gothness in Leeds, featuring eight of the country's best goth bands over the weekend of Friday 6th July to Sunday 8th July 2007!

------------------------------------------

The next Friday Flock takes place on Friday 6th July as part of the Woolstock weekend, so it's likely to be a busy one!

Everyone is welcome at Friday Flock as usual, you don't need to be coming to Woolstock... although obviously we recommend it!

So it's "all shades of goth, past and present" every Sunday night from 7pm - 11pm at The Subculture, Wade Lane Leeds.

And it's FREE ENTRY!!  Yes, FREE ENTRY every Sunday!

Other than the price drop it's exactly the same as it was at the Phono, with request friendly residents and guest DJs every week.

Elsewhere the "Friday Flock Live" gigs have come to an end, but Friday Flock itself is still in rude health on the First Friday of the month at The Subculture.  The next Flock is on Friday 2nd March, and of course it has it's own website at fridayflock.net.

Finally it's probably best to mention that unfortunately we are not booking bands or organising gigs at present. Both Black Sheep and Friday Flock are DJ-only nights and do not feature live music.

16th January 2007

BLACK SHEEP is back!

Yes, it's exactly a year since the Phono closed it's doors and Sunday Club/Black Sheep metamorphosised into SGS, but now it's transforming back into Black Sheep... at least for five weeks!

Black Sheep starts again on Sunday 28th January 2007 at the Subculture (previously the Bassment, where Black Sheep used to host bands, and now Friday Flock's home!) at it's usual time 7pm - 11pm. We've initially got a five week run until the end of February, with the hope that we get enough people through the doors to justify bringing Black Sheep back permanently.

What's more Black Sheep will be FREE ENTRY on both the opening night and ALL February!

FRIDAY FLOCK

Has it's own website here (you knew that!) and celebrates it's third birthday on Friday 2nd February!

Finally we're now on myspace, you can find us here!
